Scheduling

For Referring Veterinarians: To schedule urgent or same-day outpatient MRI or CT services, please call (865)974-5601 between 8AM and 11:30AM to check for same day availability. All urgent care patients must arrive by noon to be considered for same-day outpatient service.

As always, for your patients’ best interest, Veterinary Imaging Services accepts outpatients with anesthetic risks statuses of 1-3. High risk MRI or CT patients and Emergencies may be referred to the appropriate service at the UT Veterinary Medical Center. For an MRI, see information about MRI Anesthetic risk classification and minimum database required. For CT, see information about CT Anesthetic risk classification and minimum database required. You are always welcome to call between the hours of 8AM and 5PM weekdays to schedule non-emergency MRI or CT outpatient appointments.

Please note: MRI and CT outpatient studies are performed only between 8AM and 5PM on weekdays. Afterhours and holiday MRI scheduling is not available at this time. Afterhours and holiday CT scheduling is only available for emergency inpatients of the UT Veterinary Medical Center.
